Another week down and I still feel overwhelmed...
I know that I am not alone when I consider how stressed it can be trying to develop all this, teach full time, and then just have a life. No one is asking my opinion but I think that the portfolio should be discussed at the very beginning of the program. Each professor should know what this is and then remind students to add as they finish classes the artifacts and a reflection of each item. Then when a student gets to the practicum all they have to worry about is the adding the new items that are needed. Yeah just my opinion but I think this is a reasonable way to keep students from getting overwhelmed.
This week I was able to work on finishing up the Face-to-Face PD that will take place. It has come along pretty well and I hope to deliver that training in the next couple of weeks. I began putting together a handwritten story board of sorts to figure out the best way to develop that training into the online version. I was also able to sit down with my site supervisor and begin piecing together items for the analysis of the technology center at NHE. So this week has been more about the written work than anything else. Still so much to do and time is going pretty fast.
Over the weekend and next week I hope to have the majority of my portfolio finished since that due date is just around the corner. Once that is done it will take some of the stress away and the new items will be easier to assemble.
